The phone rings.....

I love when my phone rings and my daughter starts the conversation with "I was just in the bathroom, this isn't going to be a health question...." 

It could go either way, or should I say it has gone either way...but this time it was a leaking toilet question.  I hate doing plumbing jobs!  But hey if you can avoid the cost of a plumber, I'm all for it.  Turns out it was a simple "smell the water and see if it is rust or something else".  Turned out to be rust and within a couple of minutes we had traced it to the bolts holding on the tank.  Sometimes we have to email pictures for our repair projects, but not this time.

We're going the half-assed route on this one, turned off the water, drained the tank and will try some sealant on it before we decide that the bolts have to be replaced.  Rusty bolts can be a pain, so sealing them off and postponing the job sounded good.  Yes, we know it's not the best thing to do...

Life is good and sealant is cheap....
